2fVideomodeling is advanced software that automatically generates 3D models (point clouds and textured meshes) from videos or image sets, using intelligent algorithms that allow the entire process to be carried out automatically, quickly, and accurately.<\/p>\n

What is the difference between 2fSlam and 2fVideomodeling?<\/h3>\n

2fSlam is a portable scanner developed by 2Freedom to obtain the best results through high-precision videogrammetry. It incorporates two high-quality industrial cameras and an IMU. The camera sensors are global shutter type, which allows the user to move without distorting the image, making it ideal for videogrammetry. This 3D scanner is designed for sectors that require high resolution and image quality, such as heritage, archaeology, construction, mining, infrastructure, and security.
\n2fVideomodeling is software that processes videos recorded with any camera, drone, or mobile device, making it more versatile and accessible.
\nAlthough the accuracy is not as high as that of 2fSLAM, the 3D results are very similar in appearance and level of visual detail.<\/p>\n

Does it work with 360\u00ba cameras?<\/h3>\n

Not currently, but we are working on integrating it soon.<\/p>\n

What types of files can I upload? Are there any limits?<\/h3>\n

You can upload videos, images, or both at the same time. The system automatically merges them to create a more complete 3D model.
\nCurrently, the recommended limit of around 4,000 images is due to the restrictions of the web platform itself, not the software.
\nAs for videos, there is no defined limit: you can upload as many as you need, and with the resolution you prefer (HD, 4k, 5k, or higher resolution).<\/p>\n

Where is my data processed and how long is it stored?<\/h3>\n

The data is uploaded to a cloud repository, from where it is securely transferred to 2Freedom’s local servers for processing.
\nIt remains stored for 15 days in case technical support is needed, after which it is permanently deleted.<\/p>\n

Can I download my projects?<\/h3>\n

Yes, once processing is complete, you can download your 3D model in various formats (.LAS, .PLY, .OBJ) and you can also download your orthophoto in GEOTIFF.<\/p>\n

Does it work indoors?<\/h3>\n

The problem is not whether it is indoors or outdoors, but whether the surface is homogeneous or heterogeneous. Indoors, walls painted in a single color are a totally unsuitable environment for photogrammetry and videogrammetry. You could only perform a 3D reconstruction if you include targets or any other element on those surfaces that breaks up that homogeneity.<\/p>\n

What are the benefits of videogrammetry?<\/h3>\n

Videogrammetry allows for greater freedom and ease of capture, enabling faster shots and, together with 2fvideomodeling, producing high-quality, accurate models. Captures can be made while walking, of small objects, or from drones, making this technology very attractive and easy to use, without compromising on accuracy and quality in the results.
